Grammatically Douglas I think that it is incorrect to use the definite article in this sentence whether you are in the US or UK. Unless there is only one student body and one university in America!
So I would say:
The age at which students go to university in America is similar to that of students in Tunisia.

No, Cindy, in the US, we don �t say "go to university". Actually, we would say "go to college" in this situation. Bruce |
