when it comes to food preparation, in this instance you would use chop . Any hard objects would be chopped . If you are mixing liquid, semi liquid or 2+ items together you could say blend

It sounds like you may be instructiong someone to chop the chocolate and hazelnuts in the blender and then mix them together .

I was a chef for many years, and this is how it would have been said in the kitchen!

Merry Christmas & have fun baking!

Well Silvia - this has generated some interesting discussion.

I ve googled and haven t found any recipes where chocolate and hazelnuts are in the food processor at the same time but did come across these different versions of instructions that you could consider:

Place chocolate in bowl of food processor and pulse to chop finely.

In a food processor, process the hazelnut kernels

Roughly chop 150g of milk chocolate and place into a medium sized bowl

Pulse hazelnuts with sugar in a food processor

In a food processor, fitted with the metal blade, place the coarsely chopped chocolate and brown sugar and process until the chocolate is very fine.

Using a food processor, grind the hazelnuts until fine and powdery.

Place the toasted hazelnuts into the food processor and process until very fine.

It seems that there are may ways you can suitably express this.

Hope it helps

Cheers
