Hello Manzura.
Generally, a B.A (Bachelor of Arts) degree is usually the first degree someone would attain and it normally takes about 3/4 years..
A M.A. (Masters of Arts) degree can take approx. 2/3 years to attain, after your B.A. degree.
A PhD is a doctorate degree and can take anywhere upwards to 5 years (approx) to attain. There are numerous types for example -  PhD, EdD, MD, DDS.
Your graduation diploma should indicate what degree you have attained.
Hope this helps a little.
All the best.

@maceman: Yeah, but in post communist countries we would normally study for 5 full years and we were then called "specialist" which of course does not exist as a degree in western countries.
@Manzura: You re definitely more than a Bachelor. Where are you applying? Are you a newly graduated teacher? Nope, you have "a teacher for 15 years" on your profile. Maybe you sould mention the name of your university and that you ve completed 5 years of training. How is your degree called in the diploma? Maybe you could translate that?
Here s a chart from British Council that helps you define your stage as a teacher

I`d say I have a (bachelor s) degree in English Filology or I have a (masters) degree  in English Filology   .

florimago, I m being picky here, but in your position, I d write English Philology instead.
