The Full Monty is hilarious, but it�s only suitable for adults, and they need to be a bit broadminded unless you censor some of it. It�s about unemployed people looking for employment.
Then there�s Pursuit of Happiness which is about a man who is retrenched who goes for a career change
Also, the entertaining No 1 Ladies Detective Agency is about a lady who sets up her own business. It�s so funny and is set beautifully in Botswana. The books are easy to read too.
