need videos...
|
Hello, one of my best friends is preparing her exam to become a certified teacher. I m trying to help her as best as I can since I became a certified teacher a few years ago but i m running out of ideas... to prepare her didactics exam she needs to watch videos and prepare short lesson plans with them. I ve found a lot of different videos (on various subjects) but since her exam is very soon we d like more... so if you have a video that she could use (less than 5 minutes long, for beginners or intermediate pupils, 10 to 15 years old) we would really appreciate! thanks for your help! Elodie!
edit: ive already given her the links to my favorite websites (Miss Bs Blog, English is FUNtastic...) so were looking for videos that are on youtube for example...

thank you for your help but i m really looking for videos YOU used with your pupils, so that my friend can try to build a lesson plan around those particular videos... i already know all those websites and we re not looking for websites with plenty of videos (we ve got that already) but rather a few videos YOU discovered and used in class... do you understand what I mean? thanks again!

I used the following two videos amongst others.http://www.history.com/topics/halloween/videos#haunted-history-of-halloween
and
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8A9gvb5Fh0.
The first one is about the history of Halloween and the second one is about Rosa Parks.

These are the ones I remember using this year: I used the Window on Britain series from Oxford with my teens. It can be split into short segments according to the topics.I guess I should mention the coursebook - it s Enterprise 2 by Express Publishing. Sophia |

I love studying an advert for a hoover which is called dirt devil . the ambience is like the one of the film exorcist, so you can infer a lot about what is going to happen. it starts like a horror film with a girl being possessed, moving up and down and being dragged by an evil force on the ceiling: at the end you discover the evil force is a granny upstairs hoovering! very funny, surprising and the teens love it! i also like a report called the dream machine about a new machine (asian thing of course!) you can use to program your dreams. Weird al Yancovich songs are great too. the best ones to study are "Amish paradise" (my fav, very visual), "fat", "eat it" and "white and nerdy". There s also the news about that toddler in indonesia which had to go to rehab because he smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day. the videos can be found easily on youtube. If you need anything just ask ;)
