HOW TO RETELL

DEAR FRIENDS! WHAT DOES IT MEAN "TO RETELL A TEXT? ESPECIALLY A NEWSPAPER ARTICLE"? CAN WE USE THE SENTENCES FROM THE TEXT ITSELF OR WE SHOULD MAINLY TRANSFORM IT IN OUR OWN WORDS? ITS VERY IMPORTANT FOR ME!!!

Hello pipetochka,

To my understanding, a newspaper article or report is a type of text that retells a story or an event...

consider for example an newspaper report that you read about Obamas election.... Obamas election was an event...and it was retold in, for example, a local newspaper...

So simply, a newspaper report is writing to retell an event or a story...

It also depends upon your topics and the time of the event... some articles are written in past as the events happened in the past... but others are written in the present

Hope this benefits you
