I wonder whether English has the term for a "bus card" - or is it a literal translation from my mother tongue? "Bus card" is a type of bus ticket that is issued by a bus company. Schoolchildren who live out show it to a bus driver upon getting on the school bus and they get a ride to/ from school.

In Canada it is called a bus pass. You can buy monthly, or quarterly, or yearly. |

thank you very much for your prompt answer! I have also found out that the bus pass is called "travel card" in BrE.
