The word "cultrivorous" is used for people �swallowing, or pretending to swallow, knives �.
 
The winner is Marion, who said that it means
"Someone who habitually �devours�  lots of culture.  People who frequently go to concerts, plays, gallery openings, art workshops etc. as well as avid art collectors (including people having large book and or record collections) are called cultrivorous. (-vorous as in herbivorous/carnivorous)
In recent years, as the world becomes �smaller� thanks to internet, travel etc., the term is also used for those hungering to learn about different cultures."
