winner word of the weekend

sometimes quality is more important than quantity...There weren t many entrees for the Word of the day game this time but the ones that were posted were excellent.
After a clever analysis, Lynne came to the conclusion that obdurate refers to doormat-like people. Iciar sugested is was a verb to indicate sailing on the very long Ob River and Ed taught me that many famous people were born on the same day (I checked!!).
There can of course be only one winner and I chose sarguero s definition:
obdurate is an everlasting tampon (of a well-known brand)

The real meaning of obdurate is of course stubborn or obstinate

Thank you all for playing, Sarguero it s up to you to post a new word!! have fun!
