"According to me"

I have read this sentence in a test book.

........, the committee has made a wise decision.
A) In my mind
B) According to me
C) To my opinion
D) In my view

The sollution is D.

Why isn t B) correct?

Could anyone help me?

Thank you in advance.

Only because it is considered as too much pretentious. At least that s how I was explained when I was a student.

You use "according to" for other people or a magazine for example.

When it is for you it s better saying "in my opinion", "in my view", "as far as I m concerned".

Hope the natives will confirm I understood my lesson well.

Correct expression to express opinion are:

To my mind
In my opinion
In my view
According to recent research/ scientists/ doctors

according to me is wrong because it s only used to express other people s opinions not your own.
