As a speaker of American English, I have never heard "take a decision." "Make a decision" means to decide or choose. Stick with "make."

I checked it and I m almost sure both are correct and mean exactly the same.

Take a decison does not sound natural to me yet the OALD says that Take a decision is UK English.

We tend to say make a decision but we sometimes say that someone took the decision to do something.

Cheers
