What s a good methodology to work on a thesis?

What s your topic ?

What are the main ideas you want to highlight ?

Do you know some particular books you have read yet or you want to read about this topic ?

If it is a new topic have you attended some conferences or read some specific articles about this topic ?

You must be sure of the axes or ideas you want to develope.

Then make a file with the vocabulary you need and the one you want to use.

Classify the ideas in different categories.

Have you the general plan of your thesis ?

Then you will have to take notes about everything linked with your topic in the books, the videos... you have selected.

Your notes must be KEY WORDS, KEY IDEAS. No full sentences ! If you quote authors (as you must to justify some of your elements) start a glossary of the books you took your information from. Don t wait to have read all your documents, write the elements you re sure of as soon as you have finished.

Always think that you will read and re-read your notes, modify them, complete them. As soon as you think of a new idea note it down in a special file to check it, use it, insert it.

Here are only some clues ! Hope you ll find them useful.
