difference between have and have got

Dear teachers,

Is it safe to say  have got is not used with adverbs of frequency?

Sometimes I have (=eat) a banana for breakfast.  not have got

I often have (=experience) headaches.  not have got

Not sure of when usage of have got is incorrect.

As far as I know, have got is never used with any of the have expressions . So, have a headache, have sth for breakfast are have expressions and therefore cannot be used with have got.

Have got is used when you are talking about sth you own, for example I have got a dog.

People do say I ve got a headache, toothache etc and What have you got next? I ve got geography etc
