Above or On

Good evening,

Here is the sentence that puzzles me a bit : " We lived in the room (above/on/over/up) the store."

I choose " above" as the answer. However, key for this sentence  is "on" . Is it right ?

Thanks in advance,

Thao

"Above" and "over" are both correct. The other two choices are definitely wrong.
