Age Children begin school in Ecuador
 
This question is for a teacher from Ecuador.  There is a family from Ecuador that just immigrated to the US, and the parents claim that their four year old son was in kindergarten in Ecuador.  He doesn �t turn five until December.  The parents say that the children in Ecuador start kindergarten at age four.  Is that correct or are they confusing pre-kindergarten with kindergarten?
