Large or small?
|
Hi everybody,
I ve got a question for you...
In a fast food restaurant, talking about a portion or a glass of something:
1. Large or small?
2. Small or large?
Are they both correct or does the first sound more natural?
Thanks a lot, have a nice Sunday

I think - large or small. I have to say that normally, small isn t on offer. They usually offer regular or large. |

I worked in a fast food restaurant during my time at Uni in England and I never asked "small or large?" i was told to to always ask the customers if they wanted a large one
for example: customer: "and a coke pease." me "would you like a large one?" customer: "yes, thanks / no, thanks"
It was to push customers to take a large one rather than a small one...
In the US, in the same food food restaurant chain, they ask "do you want to supersize it?" - the movie Supersize Me is a perfect example...
