 when asking about the price of something, can we say?

i wouldn t use "what price" but rather "how much" which is way more common...

you re in a shop and you re asking questions about the price of various items...
if you re talking about a tee-shirt:
=> how much is it?
if you re talking about jeans, socks,  etc...
=> how much are they?

Elojolie is right. Also, you can say, what s the price of... in a more abstract way. What s the price of a first class stamp these days?
