Please I need to know if it is grammatically correct to ask this question:

Whose is it?
It s mine.

Thanks in advance :)

yes as long as the object is mentionned in the context (the person who talks just named the object, is showing it...)
for example, a teacher finds a pen on the floor and he shows it to the class "whose (pen) is it? - it s mine!"
a woman talks to her husband: "I found keys in the hall. - Whose (keys) are they? - I don t know, probably our neighbors , I left a note on their front door to let them know"
