Hello everybody. I have a problem with one phrase. I can �t figure out what it exactly mean. I hope you can help. The phrase is as follows:

Following up on a contact

Following up on a contact means to call or visit someone to whom you have been referred for help, usually for a job. It is like you follow the path that a friend shows you, leading to someone else, a contact, who can help you.
