difference between armour and panoply

Could the native speakers please tell me the difference between the word armour and panoply? For example, which of the two words would you use to describe the kind of statue that looks like a knight and you can see in a haunted house or an old castle?
thanks and have a nice week

One important thing is that we don t use the word panoply, except in the Bible and in the Christian hymn Soldiers of Christ Arise, which refers to the Bible passage (Ephesians, I think)

Oh, I forgot to say that what you might see in a castle is called a suit of armor (not an armor, since armor isn t countable).
