If I am explaining the tenses together,  in a chart,  I point to my sweater/ jacket and say-

                     Positive sentences(+)
This sweater is made in Israel.
This sweater is being made in Israel now.
This sweater was made in Israel last year.
This sweater was being made in Israel two years ago.
This sweater will be made in Israel in the future.
This sweater is going to be made in the future.

                      Negative sentences(-)
This sweater isn´t made in Israel.

                        Yes/No ?
Is this sweater made in Israel?

                            Wh?
Where is this sweater made?

I find that when you repeat the same basic sentence but just change the tense they understand it better.

Hope this helps.
