We had an audit today

Hi

I need your help about an audit and inspection.

If a plant (manufacture) is audited/inspected by an auditor/inspector,

after an audit/inspection, can the employees of the plant say

  1. We had an audit/inspection today.

  2. There was an audit/inspection today.

  3. An audit/inspection was carried out today.

  4. An audit/inspection was conducted today.

  5. An audit/inspection was made today. ..?

Could you let me know which ones are ok?

All sound ok to me except 5.

5. An audit/inspection was done today.

We can say: He made an inspection of the plant.

BUT He did an audit of the books. (Account books / finances)

I agree with Apodo, and would like to add what i would most likely say:

"We were audited today."
