He was Jealous of his girlfirend �s class mates.

But what shall I say if he was jealous ( ...) his girlfriend ( without mentioning of whom)

I wouldn �t use jealous in your first sentence. If I had to, I would say "jealous about".

UK English: I would say "jealous of" in both circumstances.
