Hello dear colleagues! 
I īm realy confused about the word "jeans".It īs known that they refer to " trousers or pants".but I īm dealing with an exercise in whitch  Ss are asked to classify a list of items under categories: material - clothes - footwear  and accessories. among the items there is " jeans", so shall I consider them as clothes or material or both of them?

Generally speaking jeans are casual trousers. So in your case you can put them under clothes. The material jeans are made of is called denim. Hope this helps.
