Scanning a color page - outcome NO colours?

Dear Friends,
can you help me how to scan colourful pages, so the outcome would be a black lines with no COLOUR within the contour lines?
Is there any possiblity to scan pages, when the scanner skips the colourful backgrouns and "reads" the black lines only?
The scan would look like pencil drawing...
I have heard about a copier which does this task, but I don �t know about a scanner / scanning software...
Any suggestions ???

Hi moravc,
There �s a free online program, that you can download from google, called gimp. Seach it, it also has tutorials to help you. What you �re trying to do is one of the basic tools, but do tell me if you can �t manage. I �ll see if I can give you a hand, even though I �m not an expert!

I use paint shop pro, you can lots of things with it, among others, removing colors.
