Please could you help ,me with a doubt?
Is it correct to say Who were these flowers sent by?
Could I say By Whom were these flowers sent by?
 And the same She is expected to arrive soon  could it be she is expected ariving soon?]thanks

You can �t use your second example because it uses "by" twice. The first is correct and common. You could say "By whom were these flowers sent?", but that sounds VERY formal. The most common way to say it would be "Who sent these flowers?", but I think you are specifically looking for the passive voice.

"to be expected" is followed by an infinitive, so "expected arriving" doesn �t work.

�Who were these flowers sent by? � That is fine, and something you would be wondering if they turned up out of the blue! You could have �She is expected to be arriving soon. �
