It comes from the words:
 
can: have the ability to do something
cat: feline
enervate: cause someone to feel drained of energy.

I think it �s not a word, it �s a sentence from one of my student �s copybooks  : " Can caterCan cater ( sure it �s a noun with the suffix -er  and the word "cat". I don �t know what it means, probably " a cat lover") vate vate (it �s a misspelling from wait)?" So it �s something like
