not messy

Dear colleagues

It s very common to describe a room as "messy". So common that I can t figure out how to say the opposite :) !
I m not sure "the classroom was orderly" works, I d rather use "orderly" for people.
Is "the classroom was in order" ok ???

Thank you and have a great new school year!

You can also say the room is all cleaned up. Or everything is in its place.
