spontaneous

Hi colleagues! I d like to ask you about the adjective spontaneous.  Can we use spontaneous to describe people?
Can we say he is a spontaneous man?  or does this adjective goes only with actions or deeds we say a spontaneous speech or spontaneous joke for example?
Thanks a lot for your help.

It s perfectly acceptable, at least in American English. We describe people who are impulsive as "spontaneous."

It works fine with we Brits, too. Just as MoodyMoody said, if a person is impulsive or even dynamic and able to "think on their feet," we could describe them as "spontaneous."
