I need your help with this question:
 

Rewrite the following sentences using the word(s) in brackets:               

1- Are you the bride’s friend?                                             (... of …)

 
Should the answer be:  
 
1. Are you a friend of the bride �s?
 
or  
 
2. Are you a friend of the bride?

This has something to do with the double genitives (pleonastic genitives) , that is sometimes used in English, 
please check out this link

Are you a friend of the bride �s (mum)? Otherwise it would seem, in speech, that there is more than one bride.
