Elderberrywine - remember that often more than one word is correct. If your students can think of a synonym for the word you were thinking of, it �s a good opportunity to show them how rich their vocabulary is!

That �s true. But the whole thing is for a game in which students tell each other whether their answers are correct or not - and I can only write one correct answer on the card, two at the most.  So I keep trying to narrow the definitions down. Wrong approach, I suppose. grmpf

Bruce is so right about �ridiculous �. It can describe something terrible, truly awful. Check out the subtitles  on this story.
