Is in this sentence "command" correct?
You are not under pressure when they command you to make something.
Thanks again! |

First, these are questions that you have, not doubts. To doubt in English means not to believe that something is true, as in "I doubt that most of the members here are native speakers" or "I doubt that political candidate s sincerity". Now, on to your question. The use of "command" here is grammatically correct, but not quite a natural use of the verb. "Order" would be a better choice. I would say "...when they insist that you make something" or "...when they demand that you make something" or "...when they order you to make something". Bruce |
