Ask for help

Hi everyone. I have a question. If someone is visiting Iran. It is correct if I ask him.....
1. How do you like it in Iran?
I want to know is it also correct if I ask him just .....
2. How do you like Iran?
Do both of the questions mean the same?
How do you like it in Iran? = How do you like Iran?

The first is fine. The second question is asking much more. It is asking the person s opinion of the country, its culture, politics, etc. It could be a dangerous question.
