both make a comparison and draw a comparison  have the same meaning which is to say that  two things or two people or more are similar.however make  comparison may also mean to look at similarities and differences between two or more things or people.
according to Merriam Webster dictionary

I would say, "Identify the referents for the pronouns"  or "Identify the references of the pronouns."
 
The two statements are equivalent.
