hello teachers...
I am having problems to teach sports in primary school. my students didn�t understand because some sports have ing and others use the verb play or do.
please help me to explain them why.... |

normally play is for sports with ball, go for sports with ing and do for the rest.
examples:
play basketball
go running
do judo |

Hi!
I teach my students that we play ball games and computer games; we use go with activities that finish in -ing and use do with other actvities. But my students are 7th grade students...
anyway, maybe this helps!  |

for examples^:
PLAY : soccer , football , baseball , basketball , volleyball , golf , tennis
DO : track and field , gymnastics , judo , karate
Go swimming
there are three verbs for sports : do , play , go
