Do you say ride a skateboard?

is it correct to say "In this picture a boy is riding a skateboard." ?

Well, he isn t driving or sailing it, so I would say he is riding it!

You can also say, the boy in the picture is skateboarding.
(until he falls off, then he ll be crying!!) *S*

Most German s think it s pretty funny that we "ride" motorcycles too ("like it s a horse")

Good night all, have a great morning/day/evening.

No offense taken, when you consider the fact that I am fluent in Danish and read and understand Swedish and Norwegian.
Danish is very closely related to German. In Danish you only ride a horse, otherwise you drive your bike and make your homework too.
The auxiliary verb do exists, but is hardly used.
In Danish you are on school instead of in school.
So, like Douglas,I am very aware of many of these language quirks.
