I have finally selected a winner of the Caption Contest. There were several good posts, but the winner is douglas with �"I ´m really board with pining over her and I ´m stumped on how to ask her out. I wood love to take her to the prom and the logical result is that I wood later have the chance to carve another notch in my forehead(?)." � Like many English teachers, I love both sound and visual puns, and this entry has both. By the way, the original statue is in the De Young  Museum in San Francisco. It is a Biwat statue in their Papua New Guinea collection. My husband and I were lucky enough to be the only ones on a tour, so we had our own private docent. I really enjoyed the Meso-American exhibits as well.
