how + adjective + look like

Hi, again!

I know we use "what" when asking for example: what does she look like? (physical appearance)
I know we use "how" when asking for example: how does she look? (without like = manner or condition)

Now... my silly question maybe, my brain doesnt want to wake up... when not asking but using "how + adjective" in an affirmative sentence, can I say for example?:

How beautiful she looks like today with that blue hat

or should we say?:

How beautiful she looks today with that blue hat (without "like")

Thanks a lot!

I guess the second variant is right.

We use "like" in affirmative sentences to make a comparison:
That dude looks like a lady :)

In exclamations we use "how+adj" without like: How beautiful (she is / she looks)!

Thanks a lot, ninon100

now... I wonder how would it be if it wasn´t an exclamation but just an affirmative short sentence:

See how beautiful she looks

or

See how beautiful she looks like

Still without "like"? Both sound good to me!

Thanks again,

Ana

"What does she look like?" is asking for a comparison or a description.
"How + adjective" already gives the description but is asking you to quantify the level of beauty, so we don t use "like" in that case.

What does she look like today? - She looks really beautiful!
How beautiful does she look today? - Extremely!

I figure the second variation is correct.

We utilize "like" in positive sentences to make an examination:

That dude looks like a woman :)

In exclamations we utilize "how+adj" without like: How beautiful (she is/she looks)!
