New lyrics to old familiar tunes

You can sing to the tune of  She ll be coming around the mountain

We are loving learning English, yes, we are!
We are loving learning English yes, we are!
We are loving learning English,
We are loving learning English,
We are loving learning English yes, we are!

Sing to the tune of I ve been working on the railroad

We ve been working on our English
All the live long day!
We ve been working on our English
Just to pass the time away.
Can t you hear the bell a-ringing?
Rise up so early in the morn
Can t you hear the teacher singing,
Now it s time to learn.

Learning every day,
Learning every day,
Learning just to pass the time away!
Learning every day,
Learning every day,
We are learning English every day!

Singing in the classroom in English,
Singing in the classroom I know o-o-o,
Singing in the classroom in English,
Strumming on the old banjo!

[And singing] Fee fie fiddli-i-o!
Fee, fie, fiddly-i-o-o-o-o-o
Fee, fie, fiddly-i-o-o-o-o
Strumming on the old banjo!

We ve been working on our English.
Now s our time to shine!
We ve been working on our English.
Gonna make that language mine!
We will learn it for our parents
And our teachers, too.
We will master every problem
I can , so can you!

Learning every day,
Better every day,
Learning English every day!
Learning every day,
Better every day,
We are getting better every day!

Singing in the classroom in English,
Singing in the classroom I know o-o-o,
Singing in the classroom in English,
Strumming on the old banjo!

Fee fie fiddli-i-o
Fee, fie, fiddly-i-o-o-o-o-o
Fee, fie, fiddly-i-o-o-o-o
Strumming on the old banjo!

Oh, I love it, what a great idea this is! I love she ll be coming round the mountain... I used to play this version and my classes always loved it. Its that thing she does with her hands, it had us in stitches!LOL

Edit: So you composed this, Mary! Its brilliant, really cute.

Yes, Jayho, I penned the lyrics hoping it would be suitable for end of the school year performances.

Here s my contribution.

I can t find a music-only version of this Nursery Rhyme tune on the Internet, (perhaps you can), but many children know the tune.

EDIT: Now, Ive found one. Use the Instrumental Version, with Guide Melody.

It s probably more suitable for Primary Children. The song is sung to the tune of: Baa, baa black sheep .

"In our class, we have a Golden Rule:
Always smile when you re in school.
One for the Girls, and
One for the Boys,
And one for the Little Child who has no Toys!
In our class, we have a Golden Rule:
Always smile when you re in school."

Love it, Les!

Baa, Baa Black Sheep (instrumental - lyrics video for karaoke) Exists in YouTube. I am using a YouTube app on an iPad, and havent figured out how to get the videos URL to display in order to copy and paste it here.

Any advice from iPad users?
