Hi, everybody. Sorry , but I have a problem with my computer. This time in Enlgish.

Just a question.

The word "swimsuit" is just for women, man or for both?

Thanks in advance.

Swimwear is for everybody. Women wear swimsuits, bikinis, swimming costumes, (shortened to cozzies), tankinis, burkinis... Men wear trunks or shorts. And I have heard of mankinis.

This might be a BE- AE thing, but growing-up in the USA we used "swimsuit" to refer to any kind of swimwear (male and female).

We said swimsuit for both boys and girls, too.

A google search on boy´s swimsuits revealed that it is still used by retailers such as Target and Old Navy in the US.
