Well, theres another possibility:
Do you like to travel?
The second one was missing the "to".

The standard form is, "Do you like to travel?"

However,  both of the other formulations can be correct in certain contexts.

"Do you like traveling" is equivalent to "Do you like to travel" but to me it sounds better when something else is part of the quetion: "Do you like traveling to foreign countries?" "Do you like traveling alone?"

"Do you like travel, adventure and romance? Then you will love this book." [Here travel is used in a general sense. We are not asking if the listener likes to travel personally, i.e. actually take a trip himself and go somewhere. We are asking if he likes the concept of travel].

I dont know if others may feel differently.

The difference between two questions is:

  • when you ask "Do you like to travel?", its a general question (like a hobby, an activity)
  • when you ask "Do you like traveling?" you need to be more specific, for example, "Do you like traveling to foreign countries?", "Do you like traveling by yourself?"
Thus, like + infinitive = general question
like + gerund = specific information

Other example: "Do you like to read?" (in general) and "Do you like reading detective stories or romantic books?" (more detailed question)

Redcamarocruiser: Its true! I didnt think about that possibility
Do you like travel, adventure and romance?

As always, a big thanks to both! ;)
