what is the difference between "suit" and "match"?
You shouldn t have bought this bag. Its color doesn t go with you.
which one is the same meaning as "go with", suit or match?

We use match to talk about things that go together
E.g.   Her bag matches her shoes.  They re both the same shade of brown

We use suit to say if something looks good on you
E.g.   Take off that dress!  It doesn t suit you!  It makes you look frumpy and old

We use fit to talk about size
E.g.   These shoes don t fit me.  They re too small.

These are the 3 words that Ss usually confuseWink

It suits you.  LOOKS GOOD ON YOU.

It suits Ann to be a grandmother.  SHE IS GOOD AT IT.

My shoes don t match bag.  AREN T EXACTLY THE SAME COLOR - SIZE - texture

I have a suit.  IN CARD GAMES - AS IN A PAIR - OR THINGS THAT GO TOGETHER

It doesn t fit me. - too big or too small.

It doesn t suit me.  - the style/shape is wrong for me - the color is bad for me

It doesn t match my skirt.  -  doesn t look good with the skirt because of color/ fabric etc.

Don have a fit is this explanation doesn t suit your needs.   fit- get excited/angry/upset
suit -  doesn t answer your question.
