direct and indirect speech or reported speech???
 
Dear friends,
can u help me to explain what the different between direct and indirect speech or reported speech? is there any different or just a different term???
i �m getting confuse, thankssss

Heya,

it �s not just different terms, it �s different sentence structures. Direct speech is what I am saying, for example "I am happy." and indirect (reported) speech is when someone reports what somebody else said, for example: She said that she is happy. (if there �s no backshift) or She said that she was happy. (with backshift).
