dear teachers, is it correct to say less than 5 minutes? may be fewer? |

In theory, fewer, but everybody I know would say less than. I�ll be back in less than five minutes. It�ll take less than five minutes etc. I guess the reason is that it is one block of time, rather than five separate minutes. And people often forget the rules about less/fewer, anyway! |
