Like + to + verb (infinitive) can express habits, intentions or future actions.
Like + gerund (V-ing) usually expresses general preferences or actions you like to do in general, not necessarily related to the future.

Like + to + verb is American English, whereas like + gerund is British English. I think this is the main difference, but maybe a native speaker could be more helpful. |
