What a bad luck! or...??

Bad luck

Hej.
This is the first time I have to ask for help.

What is correct:

What a bad luck!
or
What bad luck!

Thank you for the answers in advance.

Hi! I d say "What bad luck", because in English this noun is uncountable, unlike in many other languages.

Have a nice day!

As mena said, "What bad luck" is correct as "luck" is uncountable.

If you are determined to use "a", then it would have to be "What a piece of bad luck" as piece is singular.

Cheers,
AB

Or you could also say... "a bit of bad luck", "a spell of bad luck", "a lot of bad luck"...

I always say " What bad luck" or " a bit of bad luck" as Zora mentioned.
