Visiting London Crystal Palace

Hello everybody

We are going to visit London in May. Our hotel ( 2 hotels because we have a group of  about 180 students and 15 teachers) is in the neighbourhood of Crystal Palace. Because you can t take a late train with a group this big, we think about returning to our hotel early. But that means we will let our pupils have something to eat in the Crystal Palace neighbourhood.  Does anyone know this neighbourhood? Is it sensible and safe for our students to do this?

Normally we would stay in the neighbourhood of Covent Garden and let the students have something there. After that we would return to our hotel by Tube. Unfortunately our bus drivers don t want to drive us to our hotels because of regulated driving times. So we have to take the train as no underground train goes this far.

I realize we are taking a huge group but we are asked to do so...

I was looking up the area on Wiki and it seems to be a relatively "good" area for your students to be. It sounds like it is a fairly "rural" type area - small town-like even....

Here s the wiki link:
