House

Hello to all of you

I am trying to design a didactic unit on "house" topic. I have some ideas aobut the development of the unit, but I don t know how to introduce this topic.

I have thought about introducing it with a story like "3 Bears and Goldlilocks", for example, the problem is that my students are 9-10 and they haven t studied the past yet. How do you do it in your classroom?

Could you suggest me any other way of introducing this unit and some ideas to work on???

Have a nice day,
Rosa

Hi,

Try doing it all in the present tense. For example, "Your home is where your family lives, but your house is what protects all of you from the weather. Inside there are ... ."

I m sure that you have a better introduction than that, but it is in the present tense.  I hope this helps.
