Transport or transports (countable or uncountable)?

hmmm.... transportation is how many of the early Europeans arrived in Australia... & it s from British English... I believe it may be a little archaic, but correct none the less.

Anyone ever heard of transports of delight ? Spike Milligan, no less...

You can have many modes of transport or transportation...

Douglas is spot on about fruit/s .

Anyone for "There are many fruits in abundance, but apples are my favourite"

Just a quick stop over to provoke a few thoughts (maybe...)

"The banana is my favorite fruit."

"Bananas are my favorite fruit."

"Apples and bananas are my favorite fruits."

This is how I would say it, but I m not promising it is 100% correct.
