How do we spell it: "focussed" or "focused". I think it �s "focussed", but is the second word wrong??

Hello Isabelucha!
 
The second spelling is right (FOCUSED) I thouht.
 
But when I looked at longman dictionary, it said that focussed is BRITISH ENGLISH while focused is American English which mean "paying careful attention to what you are doing, in a way that shows you are determined to succeed".

I THINK FOCUSED IS THE RIGHT WORD.
IT �S ONE OF THESE VERBS WHICH U SHOULDN �T DOUBLE THE LAST CONSONANT (LIKE LISTEN, VISIT, HAPPEN, DEVELOP ETC...)
